How To Eat A Mango



Not sure how to eat a mango?
Here are 2 simple ways of cutting it
to enjoy this succulent fruit.


Cutting A Mango

METHOD 1

  • Wash the fruit thoroughly.
  • Using a knife, cut it lengthwise down one side of the fruit. Cut a thick slice, keeping your knife close to the seed. Then cut another slice.
  • You have 2 thick slices. With your knife, cut each slice to make a cross-hatch grid on the flesh of the mango. Do not cut through the skin.
  • Then press against the skin so that the flesh is turned inside out. Enjoy the fruit by eating it off the skin.
  • You are left with the rest of the mango with its seed. Peel off the skin and enjoy the remaining part of the fruit.

METHOD 2

  • Wash the mango thoroughly.
  • Cut off the top of the fruit with a sharp knife.
  • Then peel the mango with your knife.
  • When all the skin is peeled, cut the mango lengthwise, keeping your knife close to the seed.
  • Again, you'll get 2 thick slices plus the remaining fruit surrounding the seed.

  • Cut the 2 thick slices into 1/2" strips.
    Then cut off the remaining flesh surrounding the seed.
