How To Eat A Mango
Not sure how to eat a mango? Here are 2 simple ways of cutting it to enjoy this succulent fruit. Cutting A Mango METHOD 1 - Wash the fruit thoroughly.
Using a knife, cut it lengthwise down one side of the fruit. Cut a thick slice, keeping your knife close to the seed. Then cut another slice.You have 2 thick slices. With your knife, cut each slice to make a cross-hatch grid on the flesh of the mango. Do not cut through the skin.Then press against the skin so that the flesh is turned inside out. Enjoy the fruit by eating it off the skin.You are left with the rest of the mango with its seed. Peel off the skin and enjoy the remaining part of the fruit.METHOD 2 - Wash the mango thoroughly.
Cut off the top of the fruit with a sharp knife.Then peel the mango with your knife. When all the skin is peeled, cut the mango lengthwise, keeping your knife close to the seed. Again, you'll get 2 thick slices plus the remaining fruit surrounding the seed. Cut the 2 thick slices into 1/2" strips. Then cut off the remaining flesh surrounding the seed.
